DRACO LUCIUS MALFOY 16 | SLYTHERIN PLAYED BY TOM FELTON
Draco was born and raised a pureblood supremest. It had never occurred to him that his parents might be wrong when growing up. He was taught that he was better than those of lower class and diluted blood. He was a descendant of both the Malfoys and the Blacks, two ancient pureblood families. Above that he was the heir to the Malfoy 'throne'. He was a powerful child from the moment he was born and nobody ever told him different. He started his education young and learner about his family's history. He was taught how to behave in public and how to react to the various levels of social standing. Custom after custom were drilled into his brain and no one ever told him what he was doing might be wrong. Hogwarts came and no one had told Draco that there would be people who wouldn't like him or treat him as royalty. With all that training to be a perfect pureblood nobody stressed how hard it would be. His father, Lucius Malfoy, had told him to befriend the halfblood, Harry Potter. He had been confused because the boy was a halfblood, but then he learned of the boy's social standing and how he was descended from a family line possibly just as old as his own. Draco had been eager to become friends with Harry Potter. No one told him that he might not succeed if he was rude to the blood traitor Weasley boy. No one told him that it would hurt to be rejected. He was a Malfoy, though, and the Malfoy men are indifferent and do not show pain. He was taught that it was bad to show emotion so the little first year hid his pain inside and never told anyone. Never had anyone told him that pain could grow into hatred and hatred could grow into worse. Slytherin was the greatest and most powerful of all the houses. Slytherin was pure. Draco put on a smile as the hat sorted him and in that moment he was proud that he was fulfilling his parents, on now his, dreams. He quickly made connections with children of powerful bloodlines in his house. That first night he was proud of himself. Nobody told him that some of the great deeds of the Slytherin house were wrong and that others would disagree with it's power. Draco found that out the next day as he was subjected to catcalls and various insults. On that first day he did nothing. He did not let the hurt show through. He told no one and let his pain turn into hatred. He saw how people from other houses interacted. They were genuine to each other and warm. He wanted to say that he had made friends, but looking at the other houses friendships he realized that all he had made were allies. Crabbe and Goyle were the closet to friends he had and Draco was determined to keep it that way. They were dim, but maybe that was for the best. As Draco grew to dislike those around them he never did the same for them, they supported him and that made Draco have hope. Ever since Harry Potter denies his friendship for the blood traitor Draco had decided to keep away, but no one told him he didn't get everything he wanted. A comment would slip out here and an insult there. It didn't take long to realize that his house would laugh with him. He longed to feel that sense of support again. He insulted more and more. His popularity grew within his house. He made more connections and his father was proud. He kept on doing it until it became a habit and therefor a part of him. Hermione Granger was a muggleborn yet she was doing better than him in all of his subjects. His father was not pleased. Draco was supposed to be smarter than her. He was trained to be better than her. Why was he not better than her? She even befriended Potter. Draco didn't like her at all. Draco grew to hate her as well. He would insult her and her two friends the most. That is where he grew the most support from, insulting them. They insulted him back. He pretended it didn't hurt, but it did. Sometimes teachers would give him sad looks until he glared at them. Sometimes they said that they had hope for him. It made him mad. Deep down it also tore him up inside. He wasn't the perfect boy he was taught to be. He kept on screwing up and felt things he wasn't supposed to. Sometimes he didn't want to be draco malfoy and just wanted to be draco. He blamed potter for ruining it and not accepting his friendship. Potter could have changed this. He hated Harry Potter even more. Father started disappearing for days at a time. He would come back looking less than well. Mother grew nervous and that made draco worry. Voldemort was back and his father had messed up. Draco knew it involved potter and now his family was in trouble. The hatred grew. Voldemort called to draco. Draco was reminded not to show his fear. This was the man that would make all his dreams come true. Draco would nt be afraid. He remembered his mothers face when she heard that Voldemort was calling fir him. He grew uneasy. The Dark Lord whispered threats into his ears: warnings for if he failed. Kill Dumbledore was the task. Kill Dumbledore or he and his family would die. Nobody had told him that his views were wrong before, he started guessing it for himself. Pain and metal. That is what happened to Draco next. One moment he was eating in the Great Hall and the next moment he was in pain. Once the pain had passed draco opened his eyes and saw that his metal dishes were crumpled as if they were paper. He was an elemental and had control over metal. He was scared that the dark lord would find him and use him. He never suspected that the DA would find him and imprison him first. Draco grew angry as well as scared. His family would pay for this and it was all one person's fault. The Dark Lord. There was a time where he would have blamed potter, but his meeting with the dark lord had changed him. He was now trapped in a prison of plastic and free from being used with the dark lord. He understood why he was being kept away, but they had no right to imprison him and after years of allowing himself to hate it was his go to emotion. this character is played by woof(alicious) |
