Time, time, time passes slow
The minutes stand still
Don't, don't, don't wanna look
But know that I will
Don't know why
Remus had just come from the castle. It was Dumbledore's request that he look more into these elementals and exactly what their powers were, or could become. It was almost scary at the power these elementals once possessed. In fact, his ancestor revived an entire town which had been ravaged by raiders. It killed his ancestor to do so, but somehow he still managed to do it. Remus hadn't tested out his... "Life" powers as of yet. Hadn't he chance. Which was a good thing in the grand scheme of things. He was worried that when the time came to revive someone, he wouldn't be able to do it.
He had done some nice and thorough research on at least his powers, and read a bit about the others. Nothing was on the scale of what he read about. Someone able to burn down an entire village. Or about someone who rose and army of the living dead and was only barely defeated in the end. These powers weren't always for the good. There was even a book that theorized that elemental wizards were once regarded as the greek gods of old. While Remus did not necessarily agree, it was an interesting point to make.
Remus made his way to Hogsmeade, and stopped off at his old hiding spot. The Shrieking Shack. While he didn't actually go close to the building, he looked out by the fence that had been built around it, watching the little shack. Remus thought of how ironic everything was. He, a werewolf, turned out to be the "Life Elemental", who could bring back lives that were lost after sun-up and before sun-down of that day. And he couldn't have gotten these powers sooner? He could've revived Sirius. Why now? Why not sooner? He didn't understand. Being around the familiar shack made him feel better, maybe because of the nostalgia and memories of how he and his friends would come here even when it wasn't the full moon and just relax. Those were the days. But they were all gone now. He had no one left. James and Sirius were both dead, and Peter was a traitor. Even still, it seemed to bring him peace, despite being a symbol of his condition.
